James Dewhirst (b.1999) is a photographic artist based in Manchester, England. He is currently working as a photography tutor at Manchester School of Art.

James’ art practice focuses on ideas of place between natural and man-made spaces. By concentrating on surrounding objects and newly encountered spaces, the work aims to explore how we orientate ourselves in changing landscapes and questions whether photography can communicate a sense of place.
